CBS Sports announces incoming NFL analyst

Jason La Canfora (@jasonlacanfora) has been named an NFL Insider where he will serve as a football analyst for CBS Sports Network, CBSSports.com and The NFL Today. He will begin his duties at CBS Sports Network and CBSSports.com in July 2012, and will join NFL Today on Sept. 9. He previously served as a NFL reporter for NFL Network. Departures at Salt Lake Tribune

The Salt Lake Tribune has announced several news staff layoffs including arts writer Glen Warchol, public lands reporter Patty Henetz and editor of the Calendar & Events section Alicia Greenleigh. Also at the paper, Rosemary Winters has left her position as a reporter on LGBT issues. Tribune news editor Sheila McCann (@SheilaRMcCann) has taken over Winters' former coverage.
