Heidi Sullivan is the Vice President of Global Media Research and oversees all research of print, Internet and broadcast media. She joined Cision in 2004. Heidi was formerly an editorial manager for a firm that produced regional business magazines, an account executive at a PR agency and an editor and media researcher for a major newswire service.  Heidi is also an author on Cision's Blog.

Valerie Lopez 
Editorial Director

Lopez joined Cision Navigator as editorial director in October 2011. She currently serves as the Director of Media Research, North America, and is a regular host of the popular Cision Social Media Webinar series. Previously, Lopez served as the manager of Internet media and led the effort in compiling research data for over 10,000 influential blogs listed in Cision’s media database. Lopez holds bachelor’s degrees in Broadcast Journalism and Gender Studies from Indiana University.

Beth Blanchard
Senior Editor

Blanchard assumed her current position in November 2010. She was named senior contributing editor in May 2010, and officially joined the staff as a contributing editor that January. She is responsible for overseeing daily media updates and social media spotlights. In addition to her role with The Navigator, she is the supervisor for Internet media at Cision. She holds bachelor’s degrees in English and Political Science from Loyola University Chicago.

Anna Marevska
Features Editor

Marevska was named the features editor in March 2010 and joined the staff as a contributing editor in February 2009. She is responsible for writing and editing Journalist Spotlight feature articles, as well as editing the Media Spotlight features. In addition to her position with the Navigator, she is a senior research editor Cision and the editor for FashionFilesmag.com. Marevska has also edited the now-defunct AZPNews.com, has contributed to Pioneer Press, and interned at the newsroom of Tribune’s WGN-TV.

Gina Goodman
Social Media Coordinator & Staff Writer

Goodman was named Social Media Coordinator in October 2011 and is the face behind The Navigator's Twitter handle. She is also a staff writer and covers media industry news and writes in-depth features on new media outlets. Goodman joined the staff as a features writer in March 2008 and was quickly promoted to the position of staff writer.  Gina is also the supervisor for radio at Cision. Prior to joining Cision in May 2007, she was a marketing specialist for a real estate company in her home state of Michigan.

Amanda Belo
Staff Writer & Features Writer

Belo joined Cision in 2010 as an intern and then as a media researcher. She also joined The Navigator as a staff writer. In addition to writing weekly posts covering current and relevant media news for The Navigator, she is responsible for researching broadcast media outlets and maintaining the accuracy of Cision's media database. She holds a M.A. in Public Relations and Advertising from DePaul University as well as a B.A. in Dance from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.

Aaron Roemig
Staff Writer

Roemig joined the Navigator as a staff writer in September 2011. He is responsible for posting weekly media updates. He is also a research editor for magazine team at Cision. He was previously an on-air announcer for KFMW-FM in Waterloo, IA from 2004 to 2006. Before that he served as production and community affairs director for KRUI-FM in Iowa City, IA from 2001 to 2004. Roemig graduated from the University of Iowa in 2004 with a B.A. degree in Anthropology.

Emily Zimmerman
Staff Writer

Zimmerman joined The Navigator as a staff writer in August 2011.  She came to Cision in October 2009 as a media researcher. She holds a bachelor's degree in French from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a master’s degree in business from North Park University.

Michael Mace
Copy Editor

Mace was named copy editor in November 2008. He is responsible for editing daily media updates. In addition to his position with The Navigator, he is a senior media researcher at Cision. Mace had previously been a contributing editor for GreatDoings.com and a copy editor for Vital Source Magazine. He has a bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Wisconsin at Milwaukee.

Jenny Wittman
Copy Editor & Features Writer

Wittman joined the site in June 2010 as a copy editor. She joined Cision in March 2008 as a media researcher on the broadcast team. In 2009, she added the responsibility of acting as the primary contact for national television and cable networks. In March 2010, she was promoted to senior media researcher. Prior to joining Cision, she was an editorial researcher at BG + H Publishing. Wittman also served as senior writer for The Western Courier. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Journalism from Western Illinois University.

Lisa Larranaga
Features Writer

Larranaga was named a features writer in September 2010 after most recently serving as a staff writer, a position she had held since joining the staff in November 2008. In her role, she writes about trends in the media industry. She also serves as Cision’s East Asia media research supervisor. Prior to joining Cision in February 2008, she worked for The Joliet (Ill.) Herald News as a copy editor and designer. Prior to that, she worked at The Item in Sumter, S.C. as a copy editor and designer. She has a bachelor's degree in Journalism with minors in English with an emphasis in writing and women's studies from St. Ambrose University.

Hansard joined The Navigator as a features writer in June 2011 and covers media industry news.  He came to  Cision in 2010 as a media researcher. He holds a bachelor's degree in Media & Communications from Florida State University, where he served as a music director for WVFS-FM from 2008-2010.
